General Maintenance Supervisor - Data Center

About the role

Amentum is looking for a General Maintenance Supervisor to join its operations and maintenance team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The supervisor prioritizes work according to client needs, ensures on-time completion and handles all related documentation, and acts as a subject matter expert on work orders, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of facility systems such as mechanical and HVAC equipment, motors, pumps, plumbing and piping.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain current and future data center building systems and equipment, and perform preventive maintenance via the CMMS
• Manage reactive maintenance requests and distribute them to technicians
• Lead the worksite safety program, audit performance and coach employees
• Review new job requests, approve time reporting and compile reports for management and clients
• Communicate with site management and customers, solve complex mechanical problems and recommend reliability improvements
• Train and mentor technicians, document cost savings and assist with root cause analysis
• Follow safety rules, including lockout/tagout, PPE and hazard analysis, and work overtime when required

Required profile

• 6 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a data center or heavy industrial environment, or equivalent education and experience
• Supervisory or subcontract management experience in a technical industrial or manufacturing setting
• Experience analyzing facilities maintenance problems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, cranes and hoists) and finding solutions
• Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a security access badge at the client site
• Fluency in computer use, including the full Microsoft product line
• Preferred: hands-on maintenance of mechanical building systems in data centers and knowledge of data center infrastructure

• Hiring salary range of $33.00-$37.00 per hour, depending on education, experience and market data
