General Laborer

About the role

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking reliable General Laborers to support production at its Miami Container facility. The role involves working on either the 1st (3 AM‑3 PM) or 2nd (3 PM‑3 AM) shift, assisting with machine setup, operation, and cleanup while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in production activities, including machine setup, operation, cleanup, and suggesting improvements.
• Visually inspect finished units and report any suspect product to the Manufacturing Supervisor or Lead.
• Place unit tags, cover sheets, and ensure correct stacking patterns.
• Operate machinery at optimal capacity and speed, supporting Flexo Folder Gluer Operator and Assistant.
• Participate in plant‑wide tasks, follow lock‑out/tag‑out procedures, and maintain good housekeeping.
• Switch duties with Flexo Folder Gluer Assistant as needed and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 6 months experience in packaging, corrugated, or other manufacturing environments.
• Commitment to a safe work environment and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and both shifts.
• Good attendance record and authorization to work in the United States.
