GenAI Engineer – Generative AI & Machine Learning

About the role

Infosys is looking for a GenAI Engineer to join its Topaz AI‑first suite of services. You will work on cutting‑edge generative AI technologies, collaborating with industry experts to deliver cognitive solutions that drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, transform and prepare data for model development.
• Resolve data quality issues and ensure readiness for analytics.
• Develop statistical or machine‑learning models and help operationalize them.
• Test, validate and select the best‑performing algorithms based on business metrics.
• Build advanced analytics, machine‑learning and deep‑learning models, including large language models, using tools such as SAS, R and Python.
• Define analytics problems, create visualisations and predictive models with senior guidance.
• Identify data sources from relational databases and develop UI/UX components for client use.
• Monitor model performance, make minor adjustments and flag compliance risks.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data extraction and preparation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technology and business teams.
• Comfort with statistical modelling, machine‑learning pipelines and model validation.
• Interest in generative AI, large language models and emerging AI technologies.
