GenAI Engineer (Generative AI)

About the role

Infosys Topaz is seeking a GenAI Engineer to join its AI‑first suite of services. The role focuses on developing and operationalizing generative AI models, including large language models, for enterprise clients across multiple US locations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in data extraction, transformation, and preparation.
• Resolve data quality issues to ensure robust model development.
• Develop statistical or machine learning models and collaborate with technology teams to operationalize them.
• Test and validate models, selecting the best‑performing algorithms based on statistical and business metrics.
• Build advanced analytics, machine learning, and deep learning models—including LLMs—using tools such as SAS, R, and Python.
• Define analytics problems, execute visualization, analysis, and predictive modeling with senior support.
• Identify data sources, extract from RDBMS, and develop UI/UX for client usage.
• Monitor model performance, make minor adjustments, and escalate risks or compliance concerns.

Required profile

• Experience in data science or analytics, preferably as a Data Science Consultant.
• Proficiency with statistical techniques and machine learning frameworks.
• Familiarity with model testing, validation, and performance monitoring.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and collaborative mindset.
