Full‑time Barista

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Barista to join our team at HarbourVest Café in Boston. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality coffee and espresso drinks while delivering friendly, courteous service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare espresso and coffee orders using standard recipes and measurements.
• Enter orders accurately into the POS system and handle cash and card payments.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while maintaining a clean service area.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety, portion control, and proper serving temperatures.
• Sanitize equipment, workstations, and display areas before and after shifts.
• Greet customers, answer menu questions, and address concerns promptly.
• Promote sales techniques and ensure quick, efficient service.

Required profile

• Previous barista experience is required.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
• Friendly, courteous demeanor with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard recipes and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of espresso machines.
• POS system usage.
• Cash handling.
• HACCP food‑safety compliance.
