Full-Time Welding Faculty (Non-Tenure)

About the role

The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College is seeking a full-time, non-tenure faculty member to join its Welding Department. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate students, preparing them for careers in welding and related industries.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Welding I, Advanced Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding/Flux‑Cored Arc Welding (GMAW/FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) courses, primarily in afternoon and evening sessions.
• Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support in accordance with campus presence policies.
• Participate in student orientations, professional development workshops, mandatory training, departmental meetings, and college events.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of welding programs.

Required profile

• Professional experience in welding with the ability to teach undergraduate students.
• Commitment to delivering a quality learning experience and acting as a facilitator of student success.
• Flexibility to adjust teaching hours based on student demand.
