Full-Time Unarmed Foot Patrol Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time unarmed foot patrol security officer in Taylor, Michigan. The officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries, including retail and malls, by conducting routine patrols, keeping a visible presence to deter incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for shoppers, associates and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns and critical situations while following site procedures.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas and the perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, crowd management and keeping the area orderly during busy shopping periods and special events.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local laws.
