Full-Time Testing Specialist

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Atlanta Technical College, is seeking a Full‑Time Testing Specialist to deliver testing and training services across its Economic Development division. Working on the Main and South campuses, you will ensure exam security, manage logistics, and support software systems that power a variety of assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Proctor academic, distance‑learning, and nationally recognized exams while maintaining test security.
• Create and maintain the assessment database and enter student scores into the student information system.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of exam software.
• Register students for exams, monitor daily exam schedules, and manage exam files.
• Prepare correspondence with colleges, instructors, and testing agents; communicate scores to examinees.
• Develop assessment training materials and assist with budget tracking.

Required profile

• Knowledge of a wide range of assessment platforms (e.g., Accuplacer, Pearson Vue, HiSET, CLEP, etc.).
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and confidentiality skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent oral, written, and organizational communication.
• Proficiency with computers and job‑related software.
• Interpersonal skills for public interaction and instruction.
