Full-Time Radiologic Technologist – Metairie Urgent Care

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Radiologic Technologist to join the Metairie Urgent Care team at Ochsner Health. In this position you will provide individualized imaging services to patients of diverse backgrounds, ensuring safety and quality throughout each visit.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by completing registration, explaining the process, and answering questions.
• Operate radiographic equipment and related systems (including contrast administration, nasogastric tube, IV, and catheter placement) in accordance with safety protocols.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission and perform required quality‑control checks.
• Document all pertinent medical information in the company’s data systems and assist with departmental operations such as inventory and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration and state licensure in radiologic technology.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• No prior experience required; prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with radiographic imaging equipment and radiology information systems.
• Strong computer, software, and web‑application skills for documentation and image handling.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, contrast administration, and infection control.
