Full-Time Night CT Technologist – St. Bernard Parish Hospital

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a full‑time CT Technologist to work night shifts at St. Bernard Parish Hospital in Chalmette, LA. The technologist will assess patients and safely perform routine computed tomography procedures while adhering to radiation safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and explain procedures to patients.
• Operate CT equipment independently, including IV placement, to acquire diagnostic‑quality images.
• Review images before transmission and perform quality‑control checks.
• Maintain radiology information systems and assist with departmental operations such as inventory and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration (or eligibility within 90 days) and current state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior experience required; CT experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CT imaging protocols and equipment.
• Use of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and related software.
• Computer and web‑application proficiency.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
