About the role

As a Full‑Time AM Host at The George Restaurant, you will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering a warm welcome and ensuring a memorable dining experience in the historic Fairmont Olympic Hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly demeanor and manage first impressions.
• Handle the reservation system, record bookings accurately, and seat guests promptly.
• Communicate wait times, menu details, and promotions to guests.
• Maintain a clean host station with up‑to‑date menus and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen to ensure smooth seating and table turnover.
• Monitor dining room flow and address guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally.
• Assist with private dining events and special occasions.
• Follow health, safety, and restaurant policies.

Required profile

• Valid authorization to work in the USA.
• Food Handlers Card and MAST permit.
• Ability to stay calm, courteous, and focused on guest needs.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfort working under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Team‑oriented mindset and collaborative work style.
