Full-Time Grill Cook

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Grill Cook to join our team at Restaurant Associates in New York. The successful candidate will work at the grill station, preparing and serving high-quality dishes while ensuring a friendly and efficient service for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Take customer orders and prepare grill items quickly and accurately.
• Complete orders from steam tables and serve at multiple stations.
• Maintain proper food temperatures, taste all dishes, and follow approved recipes and portion standards.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays safely between workstations, stove and refrigerator.
• Store foods using proper wrapping, dating, rotation and food-safety procedures.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain the grill area, equipment and utensils.
• Resolve customer concerns and report issues to the supervisor.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings and keep accurate service records.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of kitchen experience, preferably in a grill or fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with variable hours.
• Strong attention to food safety, sanitation and temperature control.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with teammates.
