Full-Time Academic OBGYN Physician (Assistant/Associate Professor)

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health System-Monroe Medical Center and LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport are seeking an academic obstetrics and gynecology physician for a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor position in Monroe, LA. The role combines clinical practice with teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, natal, and postnatal management.
• Deliver babies, perform necessary tests, prescribe medications, and ensure safety of mother and infant.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents, contributing to the academic mission of the department.

Required profile

• MD or DO, board‑certified or board‑eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Louisiana.
• Outstanding obstetric and surgical skills with a strong interest in clinical activities.
• Commitment to resident and medical student education.
• Robotics certification.
