Full-Time Academic Cardiac Electrophysiologist (Physician)

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport are recruiting a full‑time academic Cardiac Electrophysiologist. The physician will join a growing Division of Cardiology, providing inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology care while teaching medical students, residents and fellows.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive EP clinical practice for inpatient and outpatient patients.
• Provide clinical instruction and mentorship to students, residents, and cardiovascular fellows.
• Participate in clinical, translational, and outcomes research supported by intra‑mural funding.

Required profile

• Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Completed fellowship training and board eligibility or certification in Electrophysiology.

Required skills

• Device implantation procedures.
• Laser lead extraction.
• Complex ablations, including Impella‑supported ventricular tachycardia ablations.
• Left atrial appendage closure.
