Full Stack Developer (Java, Python, Geolocation Products)

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Full Stack Developer for a team that develops parts of IC geolocation product lines addressing operational requirements from the warfighter. The team works across UI, front-end, back-end and full-stack disciplines, integrates capabilities into platforms including containers, and uses agile Scrum and DevOps. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software mainly in Java, creating and implementing enhancements to existing capabilities
• Work with software and systems engineers in an agile environment to analyse requirements and derive user stories and issues
• Perform integration and testing, and test and debug software code for integrated applications
• Provide tier 2 and 3 support for deployed capabilities and fix bugs
• Work both independently and as part of a team

Required profile

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or 4 years of similar software engineering experience instead
• 20 years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity

Required skills

• Enterprise Java development and service-oriented architectures
• Microservices and database experience (MongoDB or MySQL)
• Python development
• Desired: Java IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, VS Code), Agile, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, geolocation applications, container technologies, scientific Python libraries (NumPy, pandas), and ability to work with complex mathematical data structures
