Front Desk Receptionist – Adult Education (Canton Campus)

About the role

This work‑study position supports the Adult Education program at the Canton Campus of Chattahoochee Technical College. As the front desk receptionist you will be the first point of contact for students and visitors, helping to create a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff.
• Greet walk‑in customers, provide information, and assist with basic questions.
• Support student intake processes, including data entry and document handling.
• Maintain a tidy reception area and manage incoming mail.

Required profile

• Excellent phone and conversation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and multitasking ability.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or eligible non‑citizen status.
• Enrollment at Chattahoochee Technical College with satisfactory academic progress and financial need as determined by FAFSA.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $12.00.
• Work‑study eligibility – up to 19 hours per week.
