Freelance Lead Web Developer & Technical Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a client‑facing Freelance Lead Web Developer & Technical Consultant to act as a strategic technical partner for our projects. The role spans pre‑sales scoping and full‑cycle development, delivering high‑quality Shopify sites from concept to launch.

Key responsibilities

• Review client briefs, sitemaps and wireframes to define technical requirements, risks and scope.
• Prepare accurate development estimates, statements of work and proposal architecture recommendations.
• Translate high‑fidelity Figma designs into responsive, custom Shopify websites.
• Build modular CMS architectures using Shopify Metafields, Metaobjects and custom sections.
• Collaborate with design teams in staging environments to ensure pixel‑perfect implementation.
• Lead functional QA, conduct cross‑browser and device testing, and manage migration and launch.
• Provide documentation and a 30‑day post‑launch support window.

Required profile

• Strong eye for UI/UX fidelity and ability to bridge design concepts with technical execution.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven experience estimating project timelines and technical hurdles for agencies or consulting clients.

Required skills

• Shopify platform expertise, including Liquid templating, Metaobjects and Metafields.
• Advanced front‑end development: HTML5, CSS3, SASS, modern JavaScript.
• Figma to code conversion with clean, semantic, performance‑optimized output.
• Modular CMS architecture design and implementation.
• Cross‑browser and device testing, functional QA.
