Founding Software Engineer

About the role

Helicon is building an operating system called Argos that unifies supply‑chain, design, and factory automation for advanced composite materials. As a Founding Software Engineer you will work side‑by‑side with world‑class hardware engineers, own end‑to‑end features, and help shape the product from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship production‑grade features for Argos, the core OS that manages raw material to finished part workflows.
• Build Argos Sim tools for CAD automation, design‑for‑manufacturing analysis, mold generation and simulation.
• Integrate real‑time data from manufacturing equipment into a 24/7 digital twin.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to deliver full‑stack manufacturing solutions with high autonomy.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience shipping production‑grade software (frontend with TypeScript, backend with Python or Go).
• Track record of delivering high‑quality products at scale.
• Self‑starter who can figure out problems, work fast, and continuously improve craft.
• Comfortable getting hands‑dirty in a physical manufacturing environment.
