Founding Product Engineer

About the role

Join an early‑stage AI startup as one of the first three engineers, shaping polished AI‑agent experiences from concept to launch alongside the founder.

Key responsibilities

• Own product work from problem definition, user flows, interface design, implementation, release and iteration.
• Design and ship production interfaces using TypeScript and React.
• Establish interaction patterns for AI‑agent products, including state, activity, outcomes, errors and human overrides.
• Build reusable frontend components and foundations that enable rapid iteration without technical debt.
• Connect frontend experiences to backend services, APIs and AI‑agent workflows.
• Validate product decisions through prototypes, shipped features, user feedback and observed usage.

Required profile

• 2 to 8 years of hands‑on product or software engineering experience.
• Production experience shipping applications with TypeScript and React.
• Demonstrable visual and interaction design ability through shipped products or portfolio.
• Experience building a product or feature from zero to one in a startup or ambiguous environment.
• Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco six days per week and relocate if needed.
