Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Frontdesk is building AI workers that run customer operations across voice, text, email, and chat. As a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer you will own the most complex enterprise deployments, turning vague customer requests into live, production‑ready AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of large‑scale, technically challenging enterprise AI deployments.
• Work directly with customers on‑site to map undocumented workflows and design integration solutions.
• Build custom integrations, workflows, internal tools, and product capabilities needed to launch AI services.
• Debug and resolve deployment blockers, even when issues lie outside Frontdesk’s core product.
• Identify repeatable patterns across customers and convert one‑off solutions into scalable product primitives.
• Collaborate closely with founders and the engineering team to shape the next generation of Frontdesk features.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with a desire for deep ownership of end‑to‑end solutions.
• Enjoys direct customer interaction and can translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site to accelerate problem solving.
• Ambitious about building a new function from the ground up and eventually leading a forward‑deployed engineering team.
