About the role

Rox Data Corp is building AI agents that operate on enterprise data at scale. As a Founding Applied Research Engineer you will bridge cutting‑edge research and production, ensuring that our models deliver reliable, cost‑effective results for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute research programs focused on cost‑efficient inference, signal classification, hallucination detection, and long‑horizon policy learning.
• Develop evaluation frameworks that measure trajectory quality and agent behavior, not just final outputs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on memory, retrieval, and context systems to translate research findings into production infrastructure.
• Define the future research roadmap for Rox and help prioritize high‑impact projects.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with agents in real‑world settings and a deep understanding of where standard approaches fail.
• Proven ability to build evaluation systems and run experiments that lead to production‑ready solutions.
• Fast‑moving work style, comfortable with rapid iteration and continuous shipping.

• Agent evaluation and behavioral benchmarking
