Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with strategic customers and accelerate the adoption of its AI models. You will work closely with post‑sales, product, and engineering teams to design, build, and deploy production‑grade AI applications that solve real business problems while upholding safety and reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate Claude models into customer systems and deliver production‑ready applications.
• Provide white‑glove deployment support, including MCP servers, sub‑agents, and agent skills.
• Identify repeatable deployment patterns and feed insights back to product and engineering.
• Stay current on LLM capabilities, implementation patterns, and AI product stacks.
• Build long‑term relationships with customers and uncover new AI deployment opportunities.
• Travel to customer sites up to ~25% of the time.
• Champion Anthropic’s mission in enterprise environments.

Required profile

• 4+ years in a technical, customer‑facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer or consulting software engineering.
• Experience delivering AI solutions at scale, including prompt engineering and agent development.
• Ability to operate autonomously, thrive under ambiguity, and represent the company at senior customer levels.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Typescript (or other modern programming languages).
• Large Language Model (LLM) deployment and evaluation frameworks.
• Advanced prompt engineering and AI agent development.
• Production‑scale deployment of AI models.
