About the role
The Food Runner supports Marriott Long Island’s dining operations by delivering meals accurately and promptly to guests in restaurants, banquet functions, and special events. This part‑time position ensures a seamless guest experience while upholding Marriott and Blue Sky Hospitality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver food orders accurately and promptly, verifying each order before service.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and beverages.
- Assist servers with beverages, condiments, and guest requests.
- Support dining room operations by clearing and resetting tables, refilling water stations, and maintaining cleanliness.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and brand standards, reporting any safety concerns immediately.
Required profile
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lb for extended periods.
