Floating Maintenance Technician (Owned Asset)

About the role

The Floating Maintenance Technician ensures that all physical aspects of Greystar’s owned‑asset properties—including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas—meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality. This role works across multiple sites, responding to resident requests and performing preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
