Floating Maintenance Supervisor – East Bay Area

About the role

The Floating Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all interior and exterior building components, grounds, amenities and common areas of the community meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of maintenance processes across the East Bay portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and routine upkeep by diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, procuring supplies and inspecting completed work.
• Develop and uphold standards for the appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, unit interiors, breezeways, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards, scope and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, coordinating with the Community Manager to order supplies within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.

Required profile

• Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical or technical issues in a residential property setting.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors and internal service teams.
• Strong organizational skills for managing work orders, inventories and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Attention to detail when inspecting completed work and ensuring compliance with standards.
