Floating Community Manager

About the role

The Floating Community Manager oversees daily operations of an assigned multifamily property, leading the on‑site team to meet financial and operational goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in due‑diligence, file audits, unit inspections, and onboarding of new staff.
• Coach and train team members, provide performance improvement resources, and conduct remedial training.
• Develop and manage budgets, analyze financial statements, and monitor revenue collection.
• Approve vendor invoices, reconcile work performed, and manage petty cash.
• Oversee lease enforcement, application approvals, rent collection, and eviction processes.
• Analyze market trends, implement leasing strategies, and drive occupancy targets.
• Maintain resident satisfaction through timely response to complaints and service requests.
• Establish and manage online presence, including social media, email templates, and reputation monitoring.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic standards.
• Supervise hiring, orientation, and performance management of property staff.
• Maintain owner relationships, provide property updates, and handle owner inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate or related field.
• 4‑6 years of property management, sales, marketing, and customer service experience.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution, and customer‑service abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, capable of independent and collaborative work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software (Entrata, Yardi, OneSite).
• Strong skills in Internet use, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Valid driver’s license for operating on‑site vehicles.
• All required state and local licenses/certifications for property management.
