Flight Line Mechanic – A320

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Flight Line Mechanic to join its Mobile Manufacturing Team. The role focuses on performing Functional Test Procedures (FTP), pre‑ and post‑flight inspections, and preparing newly built A320 aircraft for test flights and delivery readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Final Test Procedure (FTP), pre/post‑flight checklists and daily inspections to ready aircraft for flight.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace aircraft structures and systems including landing gear, flight surfaces, anti‑icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, ventilation, heating/cooling and cabin interior components.
• Perform post‑dock maintenance, safety and security checks, incoming inspections and both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
• Document work according to company procedures and maintain close coordination with lead personnel on schedules, parts, and tools.
• Participate in process improvement activities such as root‑cause analysis, 5S, SQCDP projects and FOD management.
• Operate specialized equipment such as cranes, cherry‑pickers, forklifts, lifting platforms and loading platforms.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of aviation experience, preferably in manufacturing or MRO environments.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant License.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at height and outdoors, and to train other technicians.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Functional Test Procedure (FTP) and pre/post‑flight inspection expertise.
• Hands‑on knowledge of aircraft systems: landing gear, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, anti‑icing, engines, ventilation, heating/cooling, cabin interior.
• Proficiency with aircraft tools and test equipment: torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers.
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft diagrams, schematics and maintenance documentation (FTP, WO, AMM, IPC, AWD, SB, CMM).
• Operation of heavy equipment: crane, cherry‑picker, forklift, lifting platform.
