Fiscal Manager

About the role

The Chinatown Manpower Project (CMP) is seeking an experienced non‑profit finance professional to lead its fiscal management. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will oversee all financial operations for a $3.5M organization, the majority of which is government funded.

Key responsibilities

• Review and improve fiscal procedures, policies, and financial systems.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and budget vs. actual analyses to senior management and the Board.
• Supervise daily operations of fiscal staff and manage payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Maintain grant records, coordinate annual audits, and support preparation of federal and state tax returns.
• Develop the annual budget, monitor departmental budgets, and perform variance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of fiscal operations experience, preferably in a non‑profit setting.
• Experience with government contracts, grants, and cost allocation procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, independent work style, and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• FundEZ accounting software (preferred).
• ADP payroll system (preferred).
