About the role
We are working with a local company in Denver that is looking for a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead its finance function. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting oversight with people‑management responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Manage the accounting team, providing coaching and performance feedback.
- Coordinate month‑end and year‑end close processes across multiple entities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with operations in construction, manufacturing and distribution to address financial reporting needs.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience, including several years in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team.
- Experience with multi‑entity accounting is a plus.
- Background in construction, manufacturing or distribution is advantageous.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
