Financial BI Technical Specialist (Oracle)

About the role

HCSC is hiring a Financial BI Technical Specialist in Chicago, Illinois, to help design and implement financial and management reporting and analytics portfolios that support strategic and operational decisions. The role also oversees the team's alignment of business intelligence strategy and framework, including standard business drivers and KPIs, and works closely with finance and actuarial teams. It is a flex (hybrid) position with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing financial and management reporting and analytics portfolios
• Oversee the team's alignment of business intelligence strategy and framework, including business drivers and KPIs
• Gain insights into financial operations through data retrieval, analysis and reporting
• Rationalize reports so metrics are consistently defined, calculated and accessed
• Identify opportunities for improved reporting automation
• Partner with finance and actuarial teams to improve reporting efficiency, reduce risk and redundancy, and improve timeliness, quality and delivery

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience with business intelligence tools and systems and relational database technology
• Project management, strategy development, change management and process improvement experience
• Reporting and data governance experience

Required skills

• Preferred: Oracle Fusion Financials reporting (ERP and EPM)
• Preferred: Oracle Smart View, BI Publisher, OTBI, Financial Reporting Studio (FRS)
• Preferred: EPM reports and narrative reporting, hands-on report development, Power BI paginated reporting

What we offer

• Base pay range of $84,400 to $152,300, varying with skills, experience and location
