Finance & Strategy – Deal Velocity Lead

About the role

You will play a critical role in scaling Anthropic's revenue by managing complex deals and developing standardized processes that balance speed with control. Working at the intersection of finance, sales, legal, and compliance, you will ensure our products reach customers efficiently while supporting rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Quarterback deals through CPQ quote‑building, approval routing, and contract execution.
• Own and continuously improve Anthropic’s deal‑making execution processes.
• Build AI‑native tooling with internal teams to scale commercial processes.
• Optimize operational workflows to reduce friction and accelerate time‑to‑close.
• Act as the bridge between Sales and supporting teams, maintaining contract and compliance systems.
• Maintain visibility on high‑priority deals and provide escalation paths when needed.
• Collaborate with Legal to validate agreements reflect correct commercial intent.
• Track and analyze deal patterns to identify bottlenecks and propose data‑driven improvements.
• Maintain and improve deal documentation, including approval policies and pricing guidelines.

Required profile

• Comfortable executing within existing CPQ, Salesforce (SFDC), and contract platforms while improving them.
• Detail‑oriented with a process‑improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities across multiple departments.
• Strong project‑management skills handling multiple critical initiatives.
• Bias toward action and comfort operating in ambiguity.
• Collaborative mindset and enjoyment of solving complex problems through cross‑functional partnership.
