Finance Specialist

About the role

Anthos|Home is seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Specialist to manage invoicing, payment tracking, and revenue reconciliation for a portfolio of government‑funded programs. The role reports to the Finance Supervisor and supports the mission of moving New Yorkers into stable housing faster.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit invoices for government contracts, track billing deadlines, and monitor payment due dates.
• Reconcile payments to invoices, investigate discrepancies, and support Medicaid billing and claim tracking.
• Enter and reconcile billing data across accounting software, CRM/Salesforce, and funder portals, maintaining audit‑ready records.
• Produce regular reports and Excel dashboards on invoice activity, collections, and outstanding balances.

Required profile

• 3+ years in an accounting clerk, billing associate, or similar role, or an associate’s degree in accounting with relevant experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience working with multiple data systems, including CRM/Salesforce.
