Films CVD / PVD Equipment Engineer

About the role

NXP's Front End Operations ensures manufacturing excellence and delivers high-quality, scalable and cost-competitive semiconductor devices. This Films CVD / PVD Equipment Engineer role focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing defects and supporting development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and reduce recurrent machine faults and reduce defectivity
• Sourcing and installing new equipment
• Define tool maintenance procedures and improve tool utilization and availability
• Reduce cost and scrap
• Train technicians and peers
• Support development activities and write specifications
• Implement Six-Sigma statistical process control methods
• Carry out capacity planning and modeling
• Take part in and lead cross-functional and lean activity teams

Required profile

• BS in an engineering discipline; Mechanical Engineering desirable
• 5 years' experience in equipment engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment
• Experience with at least one of the following tools/processes: Applied Materials Producer, Applied Materials Centura
• Experience with Applied Materials Endura, Ultima and RTA platforms is a plus
• Lean Manufacturing experience highly desirable

• Generate, analyze and interpret equipment performance data and act on recurring failures
• Troubleshoot and isolate equipment problems
• Presentation skills to train others and explain complex data and solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication and ability to work with manufacturing technicians and process engineers
