Field Systems Engineer – Photomask Production

About the role

As a Field Systems Engineer you will design, integrate, and optimize complex photomask production systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. You will serve as the technical focal point for high‑value problems, customer escalations, and critical system recovery across ALTA Photomask Laser Writer and Sigma Meltec product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations and root‑cause analysis of complex issues involving optical, laser, electrical, mechanical, software, process and control subsystems.
• Provide hands‑on onsite and remote support during escalations, installations, upgrades, and reliability improvement projects.
• Develop and implement engineering solutions that improve system reliability, maintainability, serviceability and customer productivity.
• Coordinate testing of new product designs, engineering changes and field improvements, delivering detailed feedback to engineering teams.
• Partner with Quality & Reliability teams for CAPA, FMECA activities and failure analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Sciences, Electronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 4–7 years experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment, photomask manufacturing or related advanced manufacturing systems.
• Proven ability to lead technical escalations and cross‑functional problem‑solving efforts.
• Strong understanding of root‑cause analysis, reliability improvement methodologies and engineering change management.
• Excellent communication, project leadership and customer engagement skills.
