Field Inspector – 1099 Contractor (US Major Markets)

About the role

SeekNow is looking for independent 1099 contractors to perform accurate, impartial home and commercial property inspections across major U.S. markets. As a Field Inspector you will be the frontline expert collecting critical data for insurance, facility‑management and real‑estate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Access and inspect steep or high roofs, using ladders and equipment up to 100 lb.
• Sketch, measure and document roof or room components, including age and condition.
• Travel to catastrophe‑affected areas for assignments lasting 2‑6 weeks, with lodging provided.
• Use proprietary mobile software to record inspections and upload data in real time.
• Cover a 100‑mile radius around your home market and respond to short‑notice assignments.

Required profile

• Clean, reliable vehicle capable of transporting a 32‑ft ladder.
• Valid driver’s license, workers‑compensation and general liability insurance, and LLC documentation.
• Ability to obtain HAAG certification within 90 days.
• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D cameras, drones and moisture meters.
• Experience using proprietary inspection software on a smartphone.
• Competence with Microsoft Office and basic laptop/smartphone operations.
