Field Inspector 1099 Contractor

About the role

Seek Now is looking for independent 1099 Field Inspectors to perform accurate, impartial home and commercial property inspections for clients in the insurance, facility management, and real‑estate sectors. Inspectors work on‑site, often traveling to areas affected by weather events, and use proprietary software on their smartphones to capture and report data.

Key responsibilities

• Access and inspect steep or high roofs, lift and set up ladders and equipment up to 100 lb.
• Sketch, measure, and document roof and room components using 3D cameras, drones, and moisture meters.
• Travel to catastrophe‑affected locations for assignments lasting 2‑6 weeks, with lodging provided.
• Complete inspections within a 100‑mile radius of your home market and submit quality reports on time.
• Utilize Seek Now’s proprietary mobile application for data entry and reporting.

Required profile

• Clean, reliable truck or SUV capable of transporting a 32‑ft ladder.
• Operational laptop and smartphone with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license, state‑issued workers’ compensation, and general liability insurance.
• Ability to obtain HAAG Certification within 90 days.
• Professional appearance and ability to work flexible hours, including short‑notice assignments.
