Field Case Manager

About the role

Sedgwick is hiring a Field Case Manager in the Boston, MA area (ideally south of Boston). The role works face to face with injured workers and their medical providers to support advocacy, progressive medical treatment and timely return to work, acting as a liaison between all parties. Frequent travel is required, but the case manager keeps a home-based office.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate, supporting, guiding and coordinating care for injured workers, their families and caregivers during recovery.
• Help injured workers achieve recovery and autonomy through advocacy, communication, education, identifying service resources and facilitating services.
• Identify appropriate providers and facilities across the continuum of care, using resources in a timely, cost-effective way to give the client and the reimbursement source the best value.

Required profile

• Must live in the Boston, MA area; a valid driver's license is required.
• RN licensure preferred; alternatively a graduate degree in a health or human services field with CCM, CDMS or CRC certification.
• High-speed internet is required.
