About the role
This Federal Work Study position supports the Registration and Records office at Athens Technical College. The role provides essential clerical support, handling phone communications, assisting with orientations and testing, and performing campus errands. It offers a flexible schedule for students meeting Federal Work Study eligibility.
Key responsibilities
- Answer phone calls, make outbound calls, and assist with internal and external program inquiries.
- Assist with student orientations and testing activities.
- Operate office machines and perform basic computer work using Microsoft Office and internet research.
- Complete campus errands as needed and perform other assigned clerical duties.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and maintaining that registration.
- Meet Federal Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements and have a completed FAFSA for the current aid year.
- Not be in default or owe repayment on Federal Aid programs.
- Financial aid file verified by the Office of Financial Aid.
- Strong communication skills and work ethic.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to conduct internet research.
What we offer
- Compensation of $10.00 per hour maximum, up to 19.5 hours per week.
- No State of Georgia benefits.
