About the role
This Federal Work-Study position supports the Information Technology Department of the State of Georgia. Working under close supervision, you will help organize routine activities, assist with special projects, and maintain equipment inventory. The role offers a flexible schedule up to 19.5 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and executing routine IT tasks and special projects.
- Perform cleanup after projects within the IT department.
- Help inventory equipment for surplus, disposal, and tracking.
- Support the Executive Director of Information Technology as needed.
- Carry out other assigned duties related to IT operations.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible for Federal Work-Study funds at Gwinnett Technical College and in good academic standing.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and follow direction.
- Physical ability to lift and move boxes or equipment up to 50 lbs.
Required skills
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Use of power tools such as a drill press under supervision.
