About the role
The Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis seeks a professional to lead and collaborate on initiatives in Federal Reserve history, archives, education, and research. The role involves producing content for the Federal Reserve History website and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Produce content for the Federal Reserve History website.
- Identify content gaps and prioritize website additions and changes.
- Coordinate with other authors and provide editorial review of essays.
- Collaborate with the FRASER digital library staff to identify collections for digitization and inform priorities.
- Lead or serve on System committees and workgroups devoted to preserving Federal Reserve history.
- Present to professional, educational, and general audiences about the Fed and its history.
- Participate in professional networks and conferences, connecting with other Federal Reserve historians.
- Develop educational resources on Federal Reserve history in partnership with economic education staff.
- Work with Bank and System archivists on current archive and preservation issues.
Required profile
- Ph.D. or master’s degree in economics or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of the Federal Reserve’s purposes, functions, structure, and history.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated professional research abilities.
- Organizational agility, initiative, and ability to work both independently and in teams.
