About the role
The Federal College Work-Study Student (QEP) provides on‑campus support to the QEP – LEARN department at Texas A&M International University. This part‑time position assists staff with general office duties while offering flexible hours that fit a student’s class schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Handle routine office inquiries from employees and students.
- Assist with day‑to‑day maintenance and departmental responsibilities.
- Perform clerical functions such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Enrolled at least half‑time (6 credit hours for undergraduates, 3 for graduates).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate).
- Current, complete file with the Office of Financial Aid and a FAFSA demonstrating financial need.
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, eligible non‑citizen, or holder of an alien registration number.
- Meet all requirements of TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a personal computer workstation and common software applications.
- Ability to learn and use multiple software programs.
