About the role
The Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Texas A&M International University seeks a motivated student to support daily office operations through its Federal College Work‑Study program (FPA). This part‑time position offers hands‑on experience in an academic environment while you continue your studies.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to routine inquiries from employees and students.
- Assist with day‑to‑day maintenance of the department’s office.
- Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing documents.
- Provide additional support as assigned by supervisors.
Required profile
- Enrolled at least half‑time (minimum 6 credit hours for undergraduates, 3 for graduate students).
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate).
- Current file with the Office of Financial Aid and demonstrated financial need via FAFSA.
- U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non‑citizen.
- Comply with Texas A&M International University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress policy.
Required skills
- Proficiency with a personal computer workstation and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.
- Problem‑analysis and basic troubleshooting skills.

- Hourly wage of $8.00 for up to 19 hours per week.
