F&B Banquet Houseman (Part‑Time)

About the role

The F&B Banquet Houseman supports Marriott Long Island by setting up, breaking down, and maintaining banquet and meeting spaces. This part‑time position ensures events run smoothly, safely, and to Marriott and Blue Sky Hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, meeting spaces, and event venues according to banquet event orders, arranging tables, chairs, linens, staging, and other equipment.
• Assist banquet staff during meetings, conferences, weddings, and special functions, replenishing water stations, coffee service, and other supplies.
• Break down rooms after events, remove furniture and equipment, and prepare spaces for the next function, ensuring timely turnover.
• Support restaurant and banquet teams with stock replenishment, equipment transport, and buffet setups.

Required profile

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight event setups.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment and furniture (up to 75 lb) and perform repetitive tasks.
