Family Assistant & Household Manager (Part‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a warm, reliable Family Assistant and Household Manager to support our close‑knit household in Birmingham, Alabama. The role is part‑time (25–30 hours per week) with core hours Tuesday‑Thursday, and flexible mornings and evenings as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up the teenager from school and transport to after‑school activities three days a week.
• Provide light afternoon supervision, oversee homework, and coordinate with the family’s tutor.
• Prepare 2–3 family dinners per week, manage grocery lists and kitchen cleanliness.
• Maintain daily home resets (dishes, surfaces, vacuuming) and organize rooms for the cleaning service.
• Handle household inventory, errands, laundry coordination, and pet care including dog feeding, medication, and appointments.
• Oversee vendors, contractors, and property maintenance for both residences, and manage vehicle upkeep.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling with the family’s EA, tracking receipts, and assisting with personal‑brand content organization.

Required profile

• Warm, dependable self‑starter who notices needs and acts without constant direction.
• Comfortable caring for dogs and able to administer medication when required.
• Authorized to work in the United States, with reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to sign a Non‑Disclosure Agreement and undergo a background check.

Required skills

• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
