Family Assistant & House Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, organized Family Assistant & House Manager to support our busy household in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset. The role is part‑time (20 hours/week) with flexible evenings and occasional weekends, focused on childcare, household organization, and light administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with school pickups, after‑school activities, and Thursday evening childcare.
• Maintain household organization systems, daily resets, and light tidying.
• Manage laundry, linen rotation, and garment care.
• Handle inventory, pantry restocking, errands, and mail/package processing.
• Support meal prep, grocery unloading, and kitchen clean‑up.
• Oversee vehicle upkeep, including washes, refueling, and basic maintenance scheduling.
• Coordinate deep‑cleaning projects, seasonal décor swaps, and special household projects.
• Maintain the shared Google Calendar, assist with travel logistics, and research kids’ activities.

Required profile

• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to anticipate needs before being asked.
• Comfortable around high‑energy children, offering warmth, patience, and consistent support.
• Strong communication skills, reliable, and flexible to adjust to changing schedules.
• Owns a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and is authorized to work in the U.S.

Required skills

• Google Calendar proficiency
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)

What we offer

• $42–$48 per hour, based on experience
