Facility Quality Specialist

About the role

The Facility Quality Specialist performs quality control tests, inspections and microbiological, chemical, physical or sensory assays on products and materials throughout the production process. The role ensures compliance with Nestlé quality standards, supports product release, and works closely with the Quality Team to identify, solve and prevent quality and food‑safety issues.

Key responsibilities

• Apply Nestlé Quality Policy and Good Manufacturing Practices, ensuring compliance with FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001.
• Escalate quality or food‑safety findings to management and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist, advise and train production operators to meet Nestlé quality standards.
• Review and update factory policies, SOPs and document‑control procedures.
• Support net‑contents control system, prepare lot summary reports and manage product release criteria.
• Provide laboratory and manufacturing support for quality systems and Nestlé Continuous Excellence.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of manufacturing or laboratory experience in the food industry.
• Knowledge of continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication, mathematical and statistical abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with computer systems, Microsoft Office and preferably SAP/GLOBE.
