Facilities Management Manager

About the role

The Manager, Facilities Management leads the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment across Ochsner's facilities. This position ensures safe, compliant, and efficient operation of building systems in a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise work crews, plan and schedule maintenance activities for all buildings, facilities, and grounds.
• Prepare time and attendance reports, maintain inventory and maintenance records, and track project costs.
• Inspect buildings for cleanliness, proper functioning, and compliance with codes and standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in facilities or related field.
• Knowledge of NFPA 99, 101, 72, 110 codes, Joint Commission standards, and applicable local/state regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications, Microsoft Office, and computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).
• Technical understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and operating engineering systems.
• Effective verbal and written communication, ability to present information to diverse audiences.
