Facilities Engineering Co‑op

About the role

The Facilities Engineering Co‑op will support the Facilities and Engineering team in San Lorenzo, PR, helping to improve process efficiency, quality and operational performance throughout the 2026 co‑op term.

Key responsibilities

• Support projects that apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist with engineering design activities, concept development and implementation efforts.
• Prepare reports, presentations and technical documentation to communicate project results.
• Evaluate current practices, conduct gap assessments and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support maintenance, asset management and reliability programs to enhance equipment performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on facility‑related initiatives and ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and company policies.

Required profile

• Completed freshman year at an accredited university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering.
• Expected graduation December 2027 or later with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (preferred).
• Ability to work onsite full‑time (40 hours/week) for the January‑December 2026 term.
• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with engineering schematics, technical drawings or CAD software (preferred).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
