About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking an Extra Help Assistant/Learning Assistant to support course instructors in applying evidence‑based teaching practices. This temporary, fixed‑term position is ideal for students or recent graduates who have completed qualifying STEM coursework and are interested in gaining hands‑on instructional experience.
Key responsibilities
- Assist instructors in designing evidence‑based teaching strategies for their courses.
- Support the implementation of these strategies during class sessions, workshops, or labs.
- Collaborate with faculty to revise and improve instructional materials.
- Participate in meetings with instructors to discuss course objectives and student learning outcomes.
Required profile
- Some college experience, preferably with completed STEM courses relevant to the assigned class.
