Expeditor - Toyota Amphitheatre Restaurant

About the role

The expeditor communicates orders and information between the front of house and the kitchen, ensuring that food is cooked in the correct order, efficiently and served correctly to guests. The position is based at the Toyota Amphitheatre restaurant and pays $17.50 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Follow opening and closing procedures and food preparation assignments.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and ensure items are delivered accurately.
• Keep work areas safe, clean and sanitary, including shelves, walls, floors and drains.
• Clean kitchen equipment carefully and safely, and adhere to appearance and uniform standards.
• Lead the food runners and coordinate accurate delivery of orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a fast-paced high-end club or restaurant.
• Able to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds and to stand, sit and use hands to handle items.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, and to multi-task.
